🌿 House Guidelines

  • Courtesy hours: 10 PM – 8 AM
  • Only registered guests allowed (no parties or events)
  • Max occupancy: 5 guests
  • No pets, including emotional support/therapy animals (⚠️ $500 fee if violated)
  • No smoking, vaping, candles, or incense
  • Commercial vehicles, trailers, or oversized trucks require approval

Safety & Respect

  • Treat the suite as your own; report damages immediately
  • Do not move furniture or mattresses, or attach anything to walls
  • Clean spills promptly (supplies provided)
  • Bag and place trash in outdoor bins (recyclables in separate bin)

  1. Remove all trash to outdoor bins (use provided bags)
  2. Place used towels  inside of washing machine
  3. Wash and put away all dishes

Rates & Availability

House Rules

General

  • Maximum 5 guests (including infants). Up to 6 guests allowed only with prior approval and an additional nightly fee.
  • No unregistered visitors inside the suite.
  • No pets of any kind (including ESAs). The unit is hypoallergenic for guest safety. ⚠️ $500 fee + damages for violations.
  • No parties, events, or commercial photography.
  • No smoking, vaping, candles, incense, or illegal substances. ⚠️ $500 fee + eviction if violated.
  • All guests must be listed on the reservation.

Quiet Hours

  • 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM (strictly enforced).
  • This is the lower-level suite, so noise carries. Please keep both indoor and outdoor spaces quiet during these hours. Disturbances may result in eviction without refund.

Parking

  • Free parking for standard passenger vehicles.
  • Commercial trucks, vans, U-Hauls, trailers, or vehicles with a 3rd axle must be pre-approved and may incur a fee.

Respect & Care

  • Treat the home as you would your own. Report damages immediately.
  • Do not move furniture, take mattresses off beds, or attach items to walls.
  • Beds, linens, and towels are for personal use only (no eating in bed, no towels for cleaning).
  • Cooking strong-smelling foods (like curry) is not allowed due to lingering odors.

Cleanliness

  • Clean spills promptly (supplies provided).
  • Excessive mess, stains, or misuse of linens/furniture may result in fees ($100+ or replacement costs).
  • Bag all trash and place it in bins under the deck by the driveway. Recycling (bottles/cans) goes in the separate bin next to the blue trash can.

Safety & Security

  • Lock all doors and close windows when leaving. Guests are responsible for damages if left open.
  • Country setting: bugs/insects may appear despite regular pest control.

Long-Term Stays (28+ nights)

  • Professional cleaning is required at least 2x per month.

⏰ Check-Out Instructions (by 11:00 AM sharp)

  1. Remove all trash and place it in the outdoor bins (use provided bags).
  2. Gather all used towels and place them in the basket or on the washing machine.
  3. Wash, dry, and put away all dishes (dish soap and towel provided).
  4. Empty the mini-fridge of opened items (unopened items may be left).
  5. Turn off lights and lock all doors.

⚠️ An additional $25 cleaning fee will be applied if checkout rules are not followed.

Our stay here was 100% satisfactory! Our host gave us clear instructions on how to find the place, and it was easy to get in. This place is absolutely charming and Amy is an amazing host. We are locals who needed this place as a result of a plumbing emergency at home. We couldn’t be happier. It’s on several acres and it feels like a gorgeous woodsy park. If the weather is nice, dinner on the porch is wonderful. Restaurants and groceries are nearby.

One review mentioned the driveway so I was a little apprehensive. If you have a backup camera it’s a piece of cake and even if you didn’t, it would be a piece of cake. Don’t let that worry you.

Amy and Shane were excellent hosts. Very attentive in addressing a few hiccups we experienced. The driveway/turn off of the main road is tricky to find. Follow Amy’s instructions. UBER drivers had no problem finding. Walking distance to Publix, Walgreens, Aldi & Kroger. Quick $28-$30 uber trip to (& from) downtown Nashville during surge pricing. We would recommend this property/host to our friends & family.

The Mill Creek Retreat guest suite was perfectly located for out of state grandparents attending their grandson’s high school graduation. It was private, peaceful, clean and comfortable. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our two nights stay in our cozy accommodation.
